Sunshine returns but cool weather sticks around

TONIGHT: Light rain or sprinkles are possible through early evening mainly south of I-70. Clouds will gradually clear from north to south overnight which will allow temperatures tonight to drop below freezing. With winds out of the north up to 6 mph wind chill values will drop into the mid to upper 20s by morning.

WEDNESDAY: The unseasonably cool weather pattern continues as we head into Wednesday, but we remain on the dry side. With sunshine back in place for Wednesday we will see high temperatures a little warmer, in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Winds will remain under 6 mph from the north.

EXTENDED: A weak cold front tracks through Mid-Missouri as we head into Thursday, with no rainfall expected. However, temperatures will take a little bit of a dive. After highs on Thursday reach near 50, overnight lows Thursday night will drop into the low to mid 20s, with Friday’s high temperatures only reaching into the mid to upper 40s. Our next best chance of rain comes as we head into Saturday, as a disturbance tracks in from the Rocky Mountains. No severe weather is expected, but light rain showers are expected as we head into Saturday afternoon. There could be a few lingering showers early Sunday morning, but we will be dry by the afternoon. By next week, fair weather returns and we see highs slowly moderate back towards normal.
