UPDATE: New Franklin teen found safe after endangered person advisory
UPDATE 11/6: Jasmine Postak was found safe at 11:30 a.m. on Monday morning. Theodore Postak has been taken into custody, New Franklin police confirm.
ORIGINAL: An endangered person’s advisory has been issued for a teenage girl out of New Franklin.
According to the New Franklin Police Department, the advisory is for 13-year-old Jasmine Postak. Police say she is about 5 feet 3 inches tall, 115 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Law enforcement believe Postak might be with her father, Theodore Postak. Postak is a white male, 53 years old. Police say he is 5 feet 8 inches tall, 130 pounds, with brown or shaved hair and blue eyes.
Police believe Postak might be driving a gray GMC pickup truck last seen on Old Highway 40 in Cooper County.
Police said that Theodore Postak is a felon and was supposed to meet officers at the New Franklin Police Department about a search warrant of his home where drugs and weapons were found.
Police say he is also facing domestic abuse charges. He allegedly left his son at the home and took the girl. Police said he was contacted by phone but refused to return the child or meet with police.
