Patchy drizzle and fog expected through the night

TONIGHT: It will stay mild with lows in the upper 50s to near 60 under overcast skies with patchy drizzle expected after midnight. Thanks to a warm front lifting through Mid-Missouri and a very saturated atmosphere, we could see some patchy fog by morning.

SUNDAY: It will be a mild and potentially foggy start to Sunday, with temperatures in the lower 60s by sunrise. Isolated showers are possible through the morning hours, primarily along a warm front that will be lifting to the northeast. Through the afternoon hours, a digging trough will bring the potential for stormy weather. A slight risk of severe weather is possible for parts of Mid-Missouri after 12 PM and lasting through at least sunset. The main threat with any severe storms will be the potential for damaging winds and large hail. However, overcast skies should really limit our severe threat to 1 or 2 strong storms, if any. Rainfall amounts will be anywhere from a a .10″ west of Hwy 63 to near .30″ east of Hwy 63. Following the passage of a cold front, we’ll see a cooler night across Mid-Missouri, with the return for 40s for highs by Monday.

EXTENDED: Starting Monday highs will only be in the upper 40s and lower 50s, with isolated showers possible through the afternoon. The cooler weather lingers into mid-week as high temperatures only reach the upper 40s Tuesday and Wednesday and nights drop into the lower 30s.Isolated showers stick around through at least Wednesday and then we dry out with a return to 50s for highs.
