Mizzou men’s golf advances to SEC match play

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's golf team finished in fifth place in the stroke play portion of the SEC Championships, which means the group will advance to match play. The top eight teams will start competing in match play on Saturday, April 23.

Father Tolton alum Jack Parker continues to show up on the national stage. He posted a 1-over 71 on Friday to tie for 15th place at 1-under-par. It is the senior's fifth 54-hole under-par event this season.

Fellow senior Tommy Boone finished right behind Parker, also carding a 1-over 71 to finish at even-par tying for 18th.

Up next - Mizzou will compete in match play on April 23. The tee times are still to be announced.
