Seasonable night across Mid-Missouri
TONIGHT: It will be a fairly seasonable night across Mid-Missouri, with building clouds keeping temperatures in the lower 40s. Winds through the night will shift out of the northwest thanks to a passing cold front. This frontal passage will be a dry frontal passage, with a small chance we could see some sprinkles lingering into Monday morning.
MONDAY: Thanks to a breezy start to the day, wind chill values through midmorning will be near the freezing mark. Through the day, as a cold front continues to clear Mid-Missouri, we’ll see some gusty conditions. Winds will pick up out of the northwest up to 20 mph, gusting at times as high as 30. This will have our afternoon high of 50 feeling more like the upper 30s and lower 40s most of the day. Overcast skies will be with Mid-Missouri for the first part of the day with clearing skies and a cold night to follow.
EXTENDED: We are watching for the possibility of showers Tuesday night after 7 PM into Wednesday morning as moisture moves in from the southwest. The greatest threat for rain will be through the night Tuesday into Wednesday morning. For now it looks like the bulk of the activity looks to be along and south of Hwy 50, with a few spot showers north. There is still some uncertainty on how far north the rain will develop and we will have updates and more details as new data comes in. Temperatures through the middle of next week will slowly warm into the low to mid 60s, with it feeling more seasonable across Mid-Missouri.
