TODAY: Into the afternoon it will be cold as high temperatures only reach towards the mid 40s. The wind will continue making it feel more the mid 30s in the afternoon as northwesterly winds at 18 mph gust to 26 mph at times under partly cloudy skies.

TONIGHT: It will be a cold night for Friday evening plans as temperatures drop back into the 30s by 8 PM, with the wind chill at or below freezing. Skies will remain mostly cloudy with winds continuing out of the NW up to 11 mph. By morning, temperatures will be below freezing with a wind chill in the 20s. A freeze watch or warning is in effect for all of mid-Missouri meaning temperatures will likely drop below 32 for all of mid-Missouri. EXTENDED: It will be a chilly weekend with high temperatures only in the low to mid 40s Saturday, dropping into the upper 20s Saturday night. By Sunday morning, we see our best chance for widespread frost as winds die to around 3 mph with overnight lows dropping into the 20s. Westerly winds will bring temperatures up slightly on Sunday, reaching the lower 50s with partly cloudy skies. Another cold front moves in Monday bringing a slight chance of showers and another surge of cooler air. This will keep us in the lower 50s Monday and only near 50 for Halloween.
