Firefighters respond to structure fire in the 800 block of State Route CC

UPDATE 5 pm: Firefighters said no one was hurt in the fire but crews did have a hard time putting out the fire due to the wind and the house being on a hill.

The garage connected to the residence had a double fire wall so everything inside the garage was secured, firefighters said.

Firefighters said the scene is still active, the fire is smoldering.

Crews will stay on scene to monitor the residence.

ORIGINAL STORY: Firefighters responded to the 800 block of State Route CC for a structure fire just after 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to dispatch, there is more than six units on scene.

ABC17 crews said the residence looks to be a total loss.
