Morgan County man charged with child molestation, accused of inappropriately touching a boy
Morgan County deputies said they arrested Raymond Wade after detectives were notified about a 13-year-old boy allegedly having been molested.
According to the probable cause statement, the boy’s mother called deputies and claimed Wade was inappropriately touching her son.
Deputies said they interviewed the boy on Friday and that he said he told Wade to stop touching him multiple times.
The boy also told deputies Wade gave him money to not say anything about the sexual acts.
Deputies said the boy told them there might be other children Wade has inappropriately touched.
Deputies said when they talked with Wade, he claimed he had drank 12 beers the night the sexual contact allegedly happened.
Wade stated several times he did not remember when asked question about the inappropriate touching, deputies said.
Deputies said Wade told them he gave the boy money to help build a deer stand.
Wade has been charged with child molestation.
