Man dies days after being found injured in wooded area

A man that was found injured in a small wooded area in Sedalia died at a Columbia hospital over the weekend.

The Sedalia Police Department confirmed James Gregory, 57, of Washington, Indiana, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.

Police said on Oct. 18, Gregory was found injured, lying down behind the Sprint Store in the 1700 block of West Broadway. He was then taken to a hospital.

Police still don’t know how Gregory was injured or ended up at this location.
