Light drizzle lingers through evening, with patchy fog to develop

TONIGHT: It will be a chilly night across Mid-Missouri as temperatures bottom out near 40 degrees under clearing skies. Light, patchy drizzle is possible through midnight as the remaining moisture from the cold front continues to track across the eastern part of the country. Winds will remain light tonight out of the west northwest and allow for some patchy fog to develop.

MONDAY: With patchy fog expected for the morning commute, mainly in areas that see the most clearing from the overcast skies, it’s important to remain cautious. With light winds for the morning, little to no wind chill is expected. Under mostly sunny skies, we’ll see temperatures warm back into the upper 60s across Mid-Missouri. For the first part of the day winds will be out of the southwest up to 11 mph, but quickly shift out of the northwest through the afternoon hours with gusts as high as 25 mph.

EXTENDED: Another cold front will bring cooler air in for Tuesday with high temperatures only reaching the low to mid 50s with breezy conditions, dropping into the upper 30s to near 40 on Tuesday night. Wednesday will feel like fall as high temperatures only reach the lower 60s. After warming back in into the 70s Thursday, another cold front moves in Friday bringing a slight chance for some showers and cooler weather. This weekend will be the coldest air of the season with highs in the 40s and overnight lows in the upper 20s and lower 30s.
