Police arrest woman accused of stealing more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from Walmart

Jefferson City police arrested Rachel Ingram after officers were dispatched to a Walmart for reports of stealing.

According to the probable cause statement, the loss prevention staff notified officers they had Ingram on security footage walk into the store.

Police said Ingram was seen selecting several items from camping equipment to luggage and first aid items valued at $1,324.63.

The security told officers Ingram walked past all points of sale and left the store.

Police said employees made contact with Ingram just outside the store and then officers came to the scene.

Ingram told officers that she forgot her wallet in her vehicle and was going to pay for the items.

Ingram has been charged with stealing.
