Shell casings found on Fir Place in central Columbia
A small Columbia neighborhood saw a heavy police presence Friday morning.
According to a CPD sergeant, officers found shell casings on Fir Place off Lakeview Drive. He didn’t specify how many.
A perimeter of the area was established which is not uncommon in situations like this one, according to the sergeant.
CPD also made at least one arrest during the incident. The sergeant told ABC 17 while investigating the shots, officers made contact with people who had active warrants for their arrest.
ABC 17 News was told there was no property damage or injuries reported.
