NASHVILLE – Mizzou guard Sophie Cunningham did not mince her words when asked if this is the best women’s basketball team she has ever played on. Cunningham said it is the best she has played on and best Mizzou has ever had.

Cunningham, Jordan Frericks and Robin Pingeton were at SEC Media days taking questions from reporters. Pingeton said she would like to have been a part of the Mizzou/Kansas exhibition game, but she said she is just happy money is going to a good cause.Frericks said her knee continues to improve after tearing her ACL last season. Pingeton said Frericks is about 96 percent. She added the last four percent is just fine tuning a few of the little things that will be ready come the start of the season.

Mizzou’s first exhibition game of the year is Nov. 2 against Southwest Baptist.
