Stormy Tuesday morning & afternoon

TUESDAY: Temperatures will fall as scattered showers track to the northeast throught the morning commute. Patchy fog is possible this morning. High temperatures will only reach the upper 50s in areas west of HWY 63 to the low 70s farther east. The afternoon holds a continued chance for scattered non-severe storms, with the bulk of heavy rain moving north of I-70. Winds will shift out of the northwest with gust up to 21 mph. Closing out the day areas could see .50″ of rainfall, with localized areas up to 1″.

TONIGHT: This evening will see drying conditions as the low pressure system continues to push east. Skies will remain cloudy with winds out of the west up to 11 mph. Temperatures will be cool by morning, dropping into the upper 40s.

EXTENDED: Wednesday looks partly cloudy with high temperatures in the mid 60s. By Wednesday night, we’ll see a return of southerly winds and allowing temperatures to rapidly warm into the 70s and 80s throughout the rest of the week with dry conditions. The summer pattern looks to once again be challenged as we head into next weekend. A cold front looks to bring another chance of storms Saturday as we reach the mid to upper 80s, followed by cooler weather Sunday and Monday.
