Mizzou baseball team routs Kansas

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou baseball team achieved pure domination over the Kansas Jayhawks in front of a sellout crowd at Taylor Stadium on Wednesday night.

The reigning SEC Player of the Week, Fox Leum, continued his hot stretch with his third-consecutive three-RBI game. The Tigers jumped to a 7-0 lead in the first two innings of the match up and the Jayhawks could never catch up.

MU racked up 12 hits to get to the 14-6 win over Kansas. Helias alum Trevor Austin and Josh Day both had two-hit nights, while Nander De Sedas finished 3-for-4 at the plate.

Canada-native Nathan Landry got the win on the bump, throwing three scoreless innings to start. He struck out four batters and allowed just one hit and a walk in the game.

Up next - Mizzou will travel to Knoxville, Tennessee to meet the No. 1 Volunteers. First pitch is on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
