One dead, another injured in Miller County head-on crash

MILLER, Mo. (KMIZ)

One person was killed following a head-on crash in Miller County Tuesday at 10:15 a.m.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened on Highway 52 near Meadowbrook Road.

According to the crash report, Chester McComb, 65, was traveling West when his car crossed the center line, hitting a car driving eastbound.

The driver of the car that was hit, 57-year-old Steven Thompson, died at the scene.

Troopers said neither of the men was wearing seatbelts. McComb was seriously injured and transported to Lake Regional Hospital.

The crash is MSHP Troop F's first fatality of April and the 23rd of the year.
