Columbia woman arrested after she was allegedly caught stealing more than $1,000 from Walmart

Columbia police arrested Raymona McGinnist after she was allegedly caught stealing from Wal Mart.

According to the probable cause statement, police responded to the Walmart on West Broadway for embezzlement.

Police said they contacted an employee from loss prevention associate who was conducting the investigation into an employee.

Police said a witness saw McGinnist via a surveillance camera steal various amounts of money from the till.

Police said there were seven recorded incidents of McGinnist stealing, totaling $1,350.

Police said they spoke with McGinnist, who told police she had stolen money from the tills at Walmart but did not recall how much she had taken.

McGinnist was charged with felony stealing.
