Boone County man arrested after police find him in abandoned building with bolt cutters, crowbar

On Monday, the Boone Boone County deputies arrested Benjamin Reid in the 5900 block of Wagon Trail Road.

According to the probable cause statement, deputies found Reid inside an abandoned building.

Deputies said Reid did not have permission to be in the structure.

Forced entry had been made on the west side of the building, deputies said.

Deputies found a pair of bolt cutters on Reid and a crowbar was found in a backpack Reid claimed was his.

They said the structure Reid was found in had been burglarized several times in the past.

Deputies said Reid was arrested in August on suspicion of a similar incident in Boone County.

Reid was charged with burglary.
