Mizzou baseball gets walk off win over South Carolina; evens up the series

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou baseball team tied up the series with South Carolina, courtesy of a walk-off win on Saturday afternoon. Battle High School alum Tre Morris hit a sacrifice fly in the ninth inning to secure the 8-7 victory.

Following a stagnant performance at the plate on Friday night, MU came out firing. Both Nander De Sedas and Fox Leum ended the game with the team-high three RBI.

Tony Neubeck had a solid start for the Tigers with two strikeouts over five innings, but allowed two earned runs. Austin Cheeley, Ian Lohse, and Nathan Landry all pitched in relief for Mizzou.

Up next - Mizzou will look for the series win over South Carolina on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Taylor Stadium.
