Camden County woman taken to hospital after she swerves to avoid deer, crashes

A Camden County woman is recovering after a Sunday night crashed caused by a deer.

According to the online traffic crash reports, Cheryl Williams, 71, was driving on Owen Point Road when she swerved to avoid a deer, casing Williams to travel off the left side of the roadway.

Troopers said the vehicle went down an embankment and struck a tree.

Williams was transported by an ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for moderate injuries.

Williams’ Ford Escape was totaled.
