Hot weather to continue this weekend, seasonal temperatures return by midweek
TODAY: The hot, dry weather continues with temperatures reaching near 90 in the afternoon and a southerly breeze up to 8 mph under mostly sunny skies. It won’t be as humid and heat indices will stay in the low to mid 90s. Temperatures will be close to 85 for kick-off of the Tiger’s football game at 6:30 in the evening, dropping into the mid 70s by 10 PM.
TONIGHT: It will be another warm and muggy night with overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s. Winds will remain out of the southeast around 5 mph.
EXTENDED: Sunday continues to be hot with high temperatures in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees with partly cloudy skies in the afternoon and a light southerly breeze. Heading into the work week, temperatures are still above average, reaching the upper 80s Monday. Spotty storms are possible Monday mainly west of HWY 63 in the afternoon with the chance increasing Monday night into Tuesday as a strong cold front moves through. We could see lingering showers into Wednesday morning as the front exits to the southeast. Temperatures will drop into the lower 80s Tuesday and mid 70s Wednesday, with nights cooling into the 50s.
