Summer like weather for high school and college football

Heading into the first evening of fall it’s going to continue to feel like summer. After daytime highs top out in the low 90s the warm weather will continue into the evening. For high school football here in mid-Missouri, we will see temperatures holding onto the mid 80s around kick off. Throughout the game winds will remain light out of the south with clear skies. Towards the end of the fourth quarter temperatures will remain in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Humid conditions will be a factor for the entire evening.

If you’re looking for a cool off for the first full day of fall, you will be disappointed. As winds remain out of the south, temperatures will once again reach into the low 90s with plenty of sunshine through the afternoon. At 3 PM, if you are out tailgating, bring some water as high temperatures reach towards 91. For the Mizzou kickoff temperatures will be back into the 80s, but heat indices still could be lingering in the 90s. The entire game will see warm and muggy conditions.
