Last day of summer brings summer-like conditions

TODAY: We’ll have another hot, humid day with high temperatures in the lower 90s and heat indices climbing towards 100. If you are working, exercising or practicing outdoors be sure to stay hydrated. Winds will come in from the south at 8-15 mph.

TONIGHT: Mild conditions will continue through the overnight hours as lows only drop into the upper 60s by morning. There will be a slight breeze out of the south up to 7 mph under mostly clear skies.

EXTENDED: The heat and humidity will stay with us into the weekend with high temperatures near 90 and heat indices in the upper 90s to near 100 under partly cloudy skies. Nights will stay in the upper 60s to near 70. The Mizzou game will be another hot one as temperatures remain in the mid 80s for kickoff and remaining warm and dry throughout the entire game. Our next chance of thunderstorms comes late next Monday and into Tuesday as a cold front moves in, bringing temperatures down into the mid to upper 80s early next week.
