Boonville man charged with kidnapping, accused of attacking his girlfriend

On Tuesday, Robert Jackson was charged with domestic assault after he was accused of getting into an argument with his girlfriend.

According to the probable cause statement, Jackson allegedly threatened to choke his girlfriend out. Jackson then began to hit the girlfriend several times in her stomach.

Officers said Jackson also slapped his girlfriend on her face, leaving a hand print on her cheek.

Jackson also told the girlfriend he would bash her head in while he was holding on the bed, officers said.

According to the probable cause statement, the girlfriend begged for Jackson to stop hitting her and to let her got but he would not.

Officers said there was a witness that gave a very similar account of what happened.

Jackson has four prior convictions for domestic assault.

Jackson was charged with domestic assault, kidnapping and peace disturbance.
