Second suspect charged in homicide on Michigan Street
UPDATE 11:30 a.m.: According to probable cause statements, video surveillance and witnesses statements led to the arrest of a second suspect in the homicide of Terrance Davison on Michigan Street in Oct. of 2016.
Traivon Jefferson, 22, has been by Jefferson City police Friday for charges of attempted robbery, armed criminal action and second-degree murder, according to the probable cause statements.
Jefferson was also charged with fourth-degree domestic assault, regarding a domestic abuse incident that happened on Thursday, unrelated to the homicide.
According to the probable cause statement in reference to the murder charges, Jefferson allegedly told several people about his involvement in the shooting.
Police interviewed Jefferson on Friday, and according to the statement, he told them he was with another person, Terrance Wynn, during an interaction with the shooting victim.
Jefferson told police that he didn’t rob the victim, nor did he shoot at the victim, before he and Wynn fled the area.

Traivon Jefferson has been charged with homicide. According to online records, Jefferson is still in the Cole County Jail.
“JCPD is pleased to announce that the second suspect in the murder of Terrance Davis, who was killed in October of 2016, has been arrested. Terrance Wynn, 19, was arrested in December of 2016, but police continued to investigate given information there was a second suspect. Through cooperative work between JCPD Patrol, Community Action Team members, and Detectives, the second suspect was identified and brought to the Police Department. Travion Jefferson, 22, of Jefferson City, was arrested Friday on charges of Murder 2nd, Armed Criminal Action, and Robbery 1st Degree,” said JCPD in a Facebook post.
ABC 17 News previously reported that Jefferson City Police were called to the 700 block of Michigan Street because of a shooting.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found 29-year-old Davison suffering from two gunshot wounds. He eventually died from his injuries.
