Scattered storms possible Monday

TODAY: While the morning will start off mostly dry, storm chances will increase through the day. As a warm front lifts to the north, a series of upper level disturbances will track from the southwest and bring with it a chance for storms all the way into the evening hours. Highs temperatures today will top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s, with winds out of the south under 10 mph.

TONIGHT: As storms move north of I-70 through the evening, we will see rain decreasing through the overnight hours. Skies will remain mostly cloudy with temperatures dropping into the mid 60s. There will be a light breeze out of the southwest.

EXTENDED: The active weather pattern dies down as we head into the middle of the week, with storms becoming more isolated in nature and primarily during the early morning hours. The heat and humidity stay with us, helping us feel more like August instead of September due to southerly winds. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 80s, with overnight lows near 70. Our warm spell looks to be challenged by the weekend, as a digging trough will likely bring cooler weather as we head into next week.
