Woman flown to hospital after Jefferson City crash

Two women were taken to the hospital Friday afternoon after a three-car crash in the 2500 block of West Main Street.

Jefferson City police said Heather Horn, 29, of Jefferson City, passed another car in a curve while driving east, then sideswiped a car in the westbound lane.

Police said Horn continued driving the wrong way in the westbound lane before hitting a third car nearly head-on.

Horn’s car then went off the road and overturned. She was found lying on the ground near the car. Horn was flown to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the car that was nearly hit head-on was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

West Main Street from Jaycee Drive to Belair Drive was shut down for about 90 minutes while police investigated.
