One person in Columbia accidentally shot, sent to hospital for injuries

One person was accidentally shot in the leg on Friday in Boone County.

The incident happened on the 5000 block of Rocky Fork Drive.

The gunshot victim was shot was taken to the hospital by ambulance. One person was taken into custody, but it was unrelated to the shooting. The Boone County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating this incident.
