Downed power lines trap driver in car after crash
Officials with the Boone County Fire Protection District told ABC 17 News they are responding to the scene of a car crash that knocked out multiple power lines.
It happened on Rob Cook Road near Route Z in Boone County, an area that is temporarily closed as of 9:10 a.m. Thursday, according to MoDOT’s traveler map.

The crash was reported as a “non-injury” incident but crews said the driver is unable to exit the vehicle due to the fallen wires.
The Boone County Electric Cooperative outage map displayed power outages affecting more than 400 customers as of 9:10 a.m.
ABC 17 News has crews headed to the scene to gather more details about the driver and the nature of the power outage.
