School bus, passenger car crash in Columbia
Emergency crews in Columbia responded to the I-70/Hwy 63 connector just before 6:30 a.m. Thursday.
The dispatch was related to a collision between a passenger car and a school bus. There were no students on the bus.
The Columbia police officer told ABC 17 News the connector is “just a bad intersection” and they get “multiple crashes” there.
The officer said the two cars were going south on Hwy 63 when it looks like they got too close, causing the lug nuts on the bus tire to damage the side of the car. The officer didn’t specify if one driver was at fault.
Representatives from bus company Student Transportation of America were on scene.
