Remaining unseasonably cool, with storms possible for Sunday

TONIGHT: Mid-Missouri is looking to remain dry throughout the night with low temperatures around 60. Skies will be mostly clear with southeasterly winds up to 8 mph.

SUNDAY: It will be a dry start to the day for Mid-Missouri, outside of light rain showers along and north of HWY 24. These showers will be thanks to a very weak frontal boundary that will track through the region as we head through Sunday. While sunny skies will be prominent for the first part of the day, we will see increasing clouds by the afternoon. These clouds will come as the cold front tracks through Mid-Missouri and will bring with it scattered showers and storms that will refire by the afternoon hours. Most locations will stay dry, but those that see rain could see up to.25″ of rain.

EXTENDED: By Monday morning, there is a chance for lingering showers along and south of I-70. The majority if not all of Mid-Missouri will remain on the dry side. By Monday afternoon, the clouds will be on the decrease which will give way to another beautiful week across Mid-Missouri. The rest of the week features sunny skies, with highs in the low to mid 80s and overnight lows in the lower 60s. By the middle of the week, we will see a return of humidity. With that will come heat indices in the mid to upper 80s. Watch ABC17 News for the latest forecast and follow ABC17 Stormtrack on Twitter for updates.
