Dry start to weekend, spotty storms Sunday

After a mild morning with temperatures in the 60s, we’ll warm into the low to mid 80s Saturday afternoon with mostly sunny skies and southeasterly winds under 10 mph. It will be a nice day to get outdoors as humidity will still be low.

Heading into Sunday, we’ll start with mostly sunny skies but clouds will increase as a cold front approaches in the afternoon. It will be slightly humid as high temperatures reach the lower 80s. Spotty showers and t-storms are expected to develop by mid-afternoon through the evening but these will be ” hit and miss” and many areas will stay dry. Those areas that do get the rain will see anywhere from a tenth to a quarter inch of rain.

Although the chance is low, a severe storm can’t be ruled out. Areas east of HWY 63 are in a marginal threat of severe storms where isolated strong wind gusts to 60 mph or quarter size hail are the main threats.
