UPDATE: Stolen car chase ends with crash on Highway 63 and Broadway
A crash on Broadway and Highway 63 sent the driver, Cody Barnes, to the hospital. The crash was the result of a high-speed chase that started around 63 and Grindstone Parkway.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the car was reported stolen in Centralia.
According to the Centralia Police Department the car was stolen from Tunes Locker Service around 12:30 a.m on Friday. Police say Barnes kicked in a locked door before taking the keys and a truck. Barnes is currently on parole from a previous burglary charge.
The victim suffered minor injuries, and has been transported to the hospital.
The crash happened on Friday and ended with a vehicle on it’s side.
