A pleasant end to the work week
FRIDAY: We will have a nice end to the work week with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures near 80. Winds will stay under 10 mph from the southeast. Humidity will be increasing slightly, but still comfortable. Clouds will be on the decrease through the daytime. The weather will be pleasant for evening high school football games. Temperatures around kick off will be in the mid to upper 70s, dropping to the low 70s by the end of the fourth quarter.
TONIGHT: Through the overnight hours we will see mostly clear skies as temperatures drop into the lower 60s. Winds will be out of the east up to 6 mph.
EXTENDED: Saturday will be slightly warmer with highs in the low to mid 80s under partly cloudy skies. A line of storms is expected in northwestern Missouri Saturday night, ahead of a cold front. These could affect areas along and north of HWY 24 by early Sunday morning. As we head into the afternoon, spotty storms are possible north of I-70 with increasing storm chances into the evening hours as the cold front pushes south. A couple strong storms are possible but severe weather looks unlikely at this time. Rainfall amounts of .10″ to .25″ are expected for most of Mid-Missouri. The rain moves out early morning Monday in our southeastern counties and then we’ll be dry and mild for the start of next week. Temperatures will remain in the lower 80s.
