CrimeStoppers offers reward for information leading to arrest in copper thefts

CrimeStoppers is now offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest after recent copper thefts at Columbia parks.

ABC 17 News has reported on multiple thefts since March from locations including Cosmo Park, Stephens Lake Park, Lake of the Woods Golf Course and LA Nickell Golf Clubhouse.

The Columbia/Boone County CrimeStoppers Board of Directors has agreed to offer reward amounts ranging up to $400.

CrimeStoppers said anyone who provides information will remain anonymous.

The Columbia Police Department is currently investigating the following thefts:

Weekend of 3/25/17 at 1615 Business Loop 70 West, Cosmo Park Overnight hours of 4/20/17 to 4/21/17 at 1800 Parkside Drive, LA Nickell Golf Clubhouse Weekend of 4/21/17 at 2001 Parkside Drive, LA Nickell Maintenance Building Overnight hours of 5/2/17 to 5/3/17 at 2001 East Broadway, Stephens Lake Park 9:00 p.m. on 7/1/17 to 3:45 p.m. on 7/2/17 at 6700 St. Charles Road East, Lake of the Woods Golf Course 3:00 p.m. on 7/16/17 to 7:00 a.m. on 7/17/17 at 2001 Parkside Drive, LA Nickell Maintenance Building 8:51 p.m. on 8/2/17 to 5:30 a.m. on 8/3/17 at 6700 St. Charles Road East, Lake of the Woods Golf Course
