Picture perfect week ahead for Mid-Missouri

TONIGHT: It will be a clear and dry night as temperatures drop fairly low by the morning hours, bottoming out in the mid 50s. Winds will shift out of the southeast under 5 mph. There is a chance we could see some areas of patchy fog as we head through daybreak, but that will mainly be limited to the river valleys.

THURSDAY: Other than an increase in cloud coverage, Thursday will practically be a repeat of Wednesday afternoon. We will see more clouds stream in, as moisture begins to slowly creep back into Mid-Missouri. With that said, humidity values will still remain on the low side as we head through the day on Thursday. We’ll see winds remain out of the southeast under 10 mph.

EXTENDED: Through the rest of the week, the fall like weather continues across Mid-Missouri. Each and every day we will see highs hovering around 80, with overnight lows in the upper 50s and mostly sunny skies. It will feel more like fall for the morning hours. A dry weather pattern will continue through the week into the first part of the weekend, allowing us to dry out from the recent heavy rains. We are watching the potential for more rain to arrive in Mid-Missouri as we head into next Sunday, thanks to a cold front tracking through the region. A tropical system expected to track into the Gulf of Mexico will also help feed this system, but will likely only bring some high cirrus clouds into the region.
