Dogs abused in Pulaski County home, one animal found dead

Deputies received a call from concerned Pulaski County residents on Thursday about the well-being of four dogs.

When deputies got to the scene, they found four severely emaciated dogs, some needing immediate medical attention and surgery.

Deputies found two more animals within the home, and one dead outside of the home. Deputies asked Waynesville Animal Control to help with the immediate removal of the animals.

The owner of the dogs was arrested and waiting for formal charges. The dogs are available for adoption at the Waynesville Animal Shelter.
