Fulton police warn against splatter guns
FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Fulton Police Department is warning residents after juveniles used "splatter guns" to shoot people over the past few weeks.
Splatter guns are toy guns that fire a water-filled projectile at high velocity that can cause injuries to people that are hit by these projectiles.
Officers are warning parents about the guns because some of these guns are being painted dark colors and having the brighter colors they are made with covered up causing it to look like a real firearm.
Fulton police say it is illegal to shoot any type of projectile inside the city limits except for certain exceptions such as the city archery range as stated in the ordinance.
