Body found burned in Thursday night Morgan County vehicle fire

MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

An autopsy has been ordered after a body was found in a burned vehicle Thursday night in Morgan County.

Firefighters responded to a fire at the Ivy Bend Land Office and crews put out the Ford truck they found fully engulfed.

Officials report a body was found on Friday morning in the truck’s rear seats.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday to identify the body and determine the cause of death.
