Salvation Army of Columbia to receive fan donations
The Salvation Army of Columbia will receive a shipment of box fans next month.
Recent hot weather in mid-Missouri has taken a toll on the organization’s supply of fans. On Aug 1. the Salvation Army will get 259 box fans from Westlake ACE Hardware.
The group will receive the fans at 8 a.m. at the hardware store’s location on Worley Street.
Westlake Hardware recently hosted a fan drive and customers raised enough money to buy 229 new fans. The store is also donating an extra 30 fans.
Anyone who lives without air conditioning or on a limited budget may be eligible to get a fan.
