11-year-old girl drowns in Putnam County

An 11-year-old girl drowned in Putnam County Friday night, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. at South Beach at Lake Thunderhead.

Troopers say 11-year-old Susanna Eicher waded into water over her head and drowned.

According to the drowning report, she was not wearing a life vest.
