Cooper County clerk arrested, accused of theft

On Thursday, the Cooper County clerk was arrested on multiple theft charges.

Darryl Kempf is charged with intent to defraud, receiving stolen property, and theft.

The Missouri Attorney General’s office filed the charges against Kempf.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested him Thursday morning and he has since bonded out of jail.

An arraignment for Kempf is set for Monday.
