Clearing skies through Friday evening

TODAY: Skies will gradually clear out through the afternoon leading to a comfortable end to the work week. The high temperature will reach the lower to mid 80s accompanied by a northeast breeze up to 10 mph. Tonight will be calm and cool with skies remaining mostly clear. Temperatures will finally drop back into the mid 60s with a breeze out of the north subsiding overnight.

SATURDAY: A perfect weekend to enjoy the outdoors is ahead! The early morning holds the chance for patchy fog, but any fog that develops will melt away around 7AM-8AM. Temperatures will reach the upper 80s with lower dew points in the mid 60s keeping outdoor conditions bearable. Skies will be mostly sunny with winds under 5 mph transitioning from the east, coming from the north by Saturday evening.

EXTENDED: Sunday will also be mostly sunny with high temperatures in the lower 90s with hot but tolerable outside conditions. Overnight lows will continue to drop into the mid to upper 60s. A building ridge from the west will allow the return of the heat and humidity for next week. Temperatures will reach the low to mid 90s Monday and Tuesday and the mid-upper 90s by Wednesday and Thursday. Heat indices have the potential to climb back into the triple digits. Storm chances return toward the end of next week. For additional weather updates follow us @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter and like us on Facebook.
