Daniel Boone Library approves new gun policy

The Daniel Boone Library Board of Trustees approved a new gun policy for workers Thursday.

The board said people with conceal carry permits can carry in the library. The policy brings the library branch in accordance with state law.

The issue was first discussed after State Rep. Cheri Toalson Reisch brought a concealed gun to a meeting at the library in February. She told police over the phone she had a concealed gun in her purse. The conversation was overheard and reported to library staff.
