Storms this afternoon followed by cooler temps

TODAY: Showers and t-storms will continue tracking through mid-Missouri through the morning hours, mainly north of I-70. Clouds will be thicker north of I-70 which will keep high temperatures in the upper 80s to near 90. Areas south of I-70 will be hotter, reaching the low 90s with heat indices reaching 100-105. There is a heat advisory in affect for several mid-Mo counties until 7 PM tonight. Storms will redevelop north of I-70 by mid-afternoon in front of a cold front, pushing south through the evening. Some could be severe with damaging wind or large hail the main threats. TONIGHT: Storms will continue move through the area through the overnight hours. Skies will remain mostly cloudy with lows bottoming out in the upper 70s.
