An Arkansas man is facing charges in mid-Missouri after police said he led officers on a chase before crashing his car Saturday night.

According to the Highway Patrol crash reports, the chase ended on I-70 East just outside of New Florence just after 8 p.m.

Troopers said the driver, Robert Baker, 24, of Marmaduke, Arkansas, was involved in a pursuit with New Florence police. Baker reportedly tried to pass a motorcycle and lost control of the car. He drove off the road and his car overturned before coming to a rest on its side.

Baker was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. He was arrested on suspicion of tampering with a motor vehicle and driving while revoked.
