Woman flown to hospital after crash in Cole County
A California, Mo. woman was seriously injured in a single-car crash in Cole County Friday night.
The crash happened at 10 p.m. on Rabbit Run Road.
The Highway Patrol said the driver, Matthew Brauner, 26, of California, Mo., was speeding and lost control of the car. The car went off the road, became airborne and crashed into a utility pole.
Brauner refused medical treatment at the scene.
His passenger, Brooke Ziehmer, 22, was flown to University Hospital to be treated for her injuries.
