Rollover crash in northern Columbia

UPDATE: The Missouri State Highway Patrol has determined the cause of the crash was that the driver failed to negotiate a curve.

Troopers have identified the driver as Dshawn McDonald, 30, of Blackwater.

ORIGINAL: A single-car rollover crash just before 9:30 a.m. Saturday near the roundabout at 763 North and Prathersville Road drew first responders from multiple agencies.

A man in his late 30s was seen crawling out of the vehicle when emergency crews arrived. He was taken to University Hospital with minor injuries.

Officers with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department and the Highway Patrol both responded because the crash occurred near the jurisdictional border for the departments.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
