Two dead, one in serious condition after Lyon County wreck

EMPORIA, Kan. (AP) — Two people are dead following an accident in eastern Kansas. KSNT-TV reports that the accident happened Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 50 and Road C, west of Emporia in Lyon County. Sheriff Jeff Cope says a third person is hospitalized with serious injuries. Few details have been released, including names of the victims. Authorities have not said if the wintry weather was a factor in the wreck.
