Three injured in Maries County crash

Three people were recovering after a single-vehicle crash in Maries County on Monday.

It happened just before 2:30 p.m. on Highway 63 at County Road 209.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the car ran off the road and hit a ditch after driving on a wet curve.

Two people, who were not wearing seatbelts, were thrown from the car and suffered serious injuries. One was flown to a Springfield-area hospital while the other was driven to University Hospital in Columbia.

The third occupant wore a seatbelt and suffered moderate injuries. She was life-flighted to University Hospital in Columbia.
